HEAD TRAINER | CILENE DREWNICK

Cilene has a passion for volleyball that shows in her great resume as an Olympic and Professional athlete and also in her coaching life where she keeps receiving outstanding feedback from parents and athletes. She was coached by 4 coaches who participated in the Beijing Olympic Games. Jose Roberto Guimaraes (Head Coach Brazil Women's Volleyball team- 2 Olympic Gold medals), Bernardo Resende (Head Coach Brazil Men's Volleyball team- 1 Olympic Gold medal, 2 Olympic Silver medals and 2 Olympic Bronze medals ), Marco Bonitta (Head Coach Poland Women's Volleyball team), Giovanni Caprara (Head Coach Russia Women's Volleyball team). She played in two Olympic Games and professionally for 16 years. Most recently, as a coach, Cilene has participated in the training of the USA Youth National team in 2009 and the Brazilian Youth and Juniors National teams in 2008. Cilene has been invited to coach in clinics around the USA, and has provided consulting for clubs in Texas and Florida. Cilene developed our Instinct System. This system draws from all the experiences she acquired as a World Class Volleyball player and her network with the best players and coaches in the world. Cilene oversees the training of all our teams and actively participates in the training sessions along with our head and assistant coaches.

DIRECTOR | EDUARDO DREWNICK

Eduardo played college and professional basketball. His involvement with volleyball started many years ago with beach and indoor volleyball tournaments in the US. Eduardo later participated as a volunteer in the training sessions for the Brazilian Women's volleyball team while Cilene was a member of the team. He specifically helped and coached in the middle blockers' training. He has coached youth basketball and volleyball and has run many volleyball camps and clinics. Eduardo has a bachelors degree in Physical Education and Sports Management and a MBA in International Business, Marketing and Finance. Eduardo has vast knowledge in the field of Sports Performance Training and developed many programs for youth sports in Brazil. He oversees our Volleyball Specific Physical Training.

N utritionist | Eve Rodgers

Eve Rodgers,RD, CSSD, LD, is Instinct VBC's exclusive Sports Nutritionist. A frequently requested speaker, Eve is a Registered Dietitian (RD), Certified Specialist in Sports Dietetics (CSSD), past certified personal trainer through the National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM-CPT), and nutrition counselor. Some of the organizations and teams she currently consults for are: Major League Soccer’s FC Dallas, Michael Johnson Performance, Instinct Volleyball Club, Leukemia Society’s Team in Training Programs in DFW, and YMCA Downtown Dallas. 

Eve earned a Bachelor of Science degree in Coordinated Dietetics from Texas Christian University. She will receive a Master of Business Administration from the University of North Texas in 2010. Eve is a member of numerous professional organizations including: Dallas Dietetic Association’s Executive Board and Speaker’s Bureau; American Dietetic Association (ADA); Sports, Cardiovascular, and Wellness Nutritionists (SCAN); Nutrition Entrepreneurs (NE); National Academy of Sports Medicine (NASM) and International Sports Nutrition Society (ISSN).

COACH | Antonio Leao	Picture Coming

Antonio Leao is a Brazilian volleyball coach who has been traveling the world as a volleyball head coach with 36 years of experience training volleyball indoor and outdoor. His goal is to have a chance to train and prepare athletes to be able to play at American Collegiate level and even professional level  and contribute a great deal to help Sport Support and Instinct VBC. Antonio Leao has been teaching athletes, boys and girls, from young age with Mini volleyball program to Olympic and professional levels.  He holds a CBV (Brazilian Volleyball Confederation – recognized by FIVB) indoor certificate and a Beach Volleyball certificate level III and also an international honor title. Throughout his career he has been successful and has won multiple national and international titles including the Goodwill Games in NY, 4th place in two Olympic Games among many other national and international competitions. Antonio Leao has trained athletes and successful coaches with a total 9 Olympic medals.

Leao has vast experience as an indoor coach in many fields; He was an University head coach and P.E. teacher for sixteen years. Leao worked as a manager and head coach for various professional sport clubs in Brazil. Regarding beach volleyball, Leao has been a Beach Volleyball Coaches Course Instructor, and a head coach of multiple national and international teams having won countless titles.

COACH | Scott Nuby	Picture Coming

Started in the mid 90's coaching men's jr. college volleyball for two years at Tomball Jr. College and has been coaching girls for the last 13 years.  Scott coached numerous all American players, 6 nationals events,  worked several college camps and ran a few national clinics. His ties with college coaches run deep and far across the country. Scott recently work with the two largest clubs in TEXAS; Texas Tornado and TAV. Instinct VBC is excited to have Scott join our program.

COACH | Paula Araujo

Paula had a great career as a setter. She played for the Brazilian Junior Volleyball team. Paula was a starter setter during all of her college years. She graduated from Texas A&M Corpus Christy with a Degree in Communications. She has four years of coaching experience. Last year she assisted Eduardo with the Instinct 14 Tigers and helped the team get a bid to the Junior Olympics in Miami. Paula was also the head coach for our Instinct 13 Cougars. She gets numerous requests for private lessons and is becoming well known for her work with setters.

COACH | Wes Wilke

Wes has been an important contributor to Instinct. His positive attitude and love for volleyball are evident and both facilitate his connection with young athletes. Wes graduated from the University of Oklahoma where he was the president of the University of Oklahoma's Volleyball Players Club. He has played volleyball for 9 years and has coached for 5 years. Wes has been involved in programs at the Coppell YMCA.

COACH | Bert Kelly

COACH | Bert Kelly

Bert has a long history with volleyball both as a player and as a coach. Bert has previously coached club volleyball at the 13s age group and he has also coached various soccer and softball youth teams. As a player Bert played for 3 years on the Texas Tech Men's Club team as an outside hitter and defensive specialist. He continued to play for approximately 10 years in many Open Division Men's and Coed Indoor Volleyball tournaments and several beach and grass volleyball tournaments in Texas. Bert coached our Instinct 13 Cheetahs last year and was a key contributor to the development of our players.

COACH | Breanne Garrett

 

COACH | Breanne Garrett

Breanne has been playing volleyball since middle school. She recently graduated from Ouachita Baptist University with a Business degree. Breanne played as a middle blocker and started all four years. She was named freshman of the year and made the All Conference team every year. This is Breanne's second season with Instinct. In 2008-2009, Breanne assisted Wes with our 14 White Tigers and had a successful start to her coaching career.

COACH | Mallory Gonyer	Picture Coming

Mallory has been playing volleyball for over 10 years. She started playing in the 6th grade and kept playing in high school as well as competitively with a club for 4 years as a libero. She is currently a senior at the University of North Texas majoring in Psychology.  Mallory also played for the Women's Club Volleyball team at UNT for a year. Mallory has coached several teams and is ready to coach in a more competitive atmosphere.

COACH | George Butler

George is a graduate of Ouachita Baptist University where he played basketball for 4 years. George loves working with and developing young student athletes in any sport. He currently teaches 9th grade science and coaches boys basketball at Calvary Christian Academy in Forth Worth. This is his first year coaching volleyball with Instinct.

COACH | Monica Hooley

Monica grew up in the Dallas area and graduated from The Colony High School where she played both volleyball and basketball having a fantastic High school career.  She graduated from University of North Texas in 2006 with a degree in Kinesiology.  She is currently the head 8^th grade volleyball coach for a middle school in Denton ISD, coaching volleyball and basketball for 4 years in this district. She enjoys developing young athletes and helping them become better citizens.
