I played women's indoor volleyball for over 20 years, including playing for the Brazilian National Team between 1983 to 1997. Invitations to play for the Brazilian National Team are extended to only the top 12 volleyball players in the country, and I was a member of the team for ten years. Specifically, I played for the Brazilian National Team in all major international tournaments including the 1988 and 1992 Olympic Games, several World Cups, World Leagues, Pan-American Games and South American Championships.

I have also participated in tournaments worldwide for club teams. I have been fortunate to win many tournaments and to earn many prestigious individual awards. Not having taken my accomplishments lightly, I have gladly undertaken significant leadership and mentoring roles in the community sharing my volleyball skills and experience in meaningful ways.

I have been involved with sports throughout my life. I started at a young age playing soccer in Brazil. At the age of 12 I started playing volleyball and basketball. My passion for basketball made me choose the sport as my number one, and although I played beach and indoor volleyball tournaments during my basketball off seasons, I dedicated the rest of my life to basketball. I played for the Brazilian National team, had a great college career in the US (Lamar University, College of Southern Idaho and the University of Houston). After college I played for professional teams in Brazil. I won a few Brazilian Professional League Championships, 1 South American League Championship and, in the US, my team won the NJCAA Championship in 1987.

I always worked hard to achieve my academic goals. I have a bachelors degree from the University of Houston (Magna Cum Laude) in Sports Management/Physical Education and a MBA from the University of South Florida. Professionally, I have owned a Sports Marketing Firm and worked for important companies.
